Getting There

Travel to Lagos

Lagos sits on the western Algarve, about an hour from Faro Airport. Here's how to get here and out to the farm. Early May is busy, so book flights and a car or transfer sooner rather than later.

Step 1

Fly into Faro (FAO)

Faro is the closest airport, roughly a 1-hour drive from Lagos, with direct connections to most major European cities.

Find flights

Compare routes and fares into Faro (FAO). Direct flights are common from the UK, Ireland, and much of Western Europe; from further afield you'll usually connect via Lisbon.

Via Lisbon

Flying long-haul? Lisbon (LIS) has the widest connections, then it's a short hop to Faro or a ~3-hour drive south. Worth comparing against a direct Faro fare.

Step 2

From Faro to Lagos

Three easy options — pick based on whether you want a car for the week.

Hire a car

The easiest way to explore the Algarve and reach the farm. All the big names are at Faro arrivals; local firm LUZCAR is Lagos-based and well-reviewed. Around €25/day on average.

Take the train

A direct regional train runs Faro → Lagos (~1h45), around 11 times a day from roughly €8. Cheap and scenic. Book on the official CP site or just buy at the station.

Private transfer

Door to door in about an hour, with a driver waiting at arrivals. Roughly €80–90 per car if booked ahead — good value for a group or after a long flight.

Step 3

Getting to the farm

Orange Grove Farm is about 5 minutes from central Lagos — a quick taxi, Uber, or drive.

Getting around at night

Taxis and Uber work in and around Lagos but can be thin late at night, especially out of town. If you're staying near the venue, a car helps. We'll share any shuttle details for the wedding day.
